I did it!

My husband had to go out of town for work this week and is coming home tonight! I have survived 3 nights and 4 days without him. Barely, but hey I made it! I am so blessed to have such a great guy in my life. I cannot wait to give him a big hug and let him know how much I appreciate him, I need to say it way more. It is crazy how you forget to do the little things when life gets so busy. The little things are the most important. Sophie has been asking for her Daddy everyday and wants to call him all the time. He is a really great dad! I love you my handsome man!

Naomi Selma is here!

She is here! Naomi Selma was born on October 8th, 2009 at 7:37 in Provo, Utah. Tyler and I went to Utah Valley Hospital at 10:30 in the morning to be induced. Tyler's mom and stepdad came down to watch Sophie for the day. She had so much fun with them. They took her to build a bear and walked at the mall and played all day. They got me started on potossin at 12:30 and I could no longer stand the pain of contractions, so at 4:30 I had the epidural and Dr. Savage came in at 5:00 pm to break my water. At about 6:00 pm I was dilated to a 6 and then at about 7:00 pm I was ready to start pushing, but we had to wait for the doctor. I was able to get Naomi out in 17 minutes. When Naomi came out there was a large tight knot in the cord, and Dr. Savage let us know that angels were watching over Naomi because that type of knot is what they see in stillborn babies. So scary. Naomi is super healthy and strong, a miracle. Heavenly Father has truly blessed us. We are so thankful that we did not wait to have her on the due date. She is so beautiful and a great sleeper compared to Sophie when she was a newborn. We have 2 beautiful healthy girls and could not be happier. Thanks to everyone for their help. The hospital did not allow Sophie to come and visit me so we had to have lots of help with family and friends watching her while Tyler came during the day to spend some time with Naomi and me. We love you guys.

ABC's

Our smart little monkey singing her favorite song. It has been fun trying to keep up with a 2 year old and being 9 months pregnant. I am so thankful to my family for helping me while Tyler is away. My mom slept over last night just in case I went into labor. So sweet of her. Thanks for your help. Love you guys.

Love hate relationship

My adorable 3 year old nephew and my spicy daughter Sophie, love to hang out together, but they also love to fight over everything. Sophie loves to boss Evan around, calling him by his full name. It is kind of funny. After a couple of hours it gets old, but they still love each other. I was watching Evan last week and they wanted to watch Sesame Street. I came downstairs and saw that they are happy and snuggling, of course five minutes later they were fighting again. It is worth it for cute moments like this though.

2 year old pictures of Sophie!

Our adorable little Sophie. My mom took all the grandkids to get pictures and they turned out so great. Thanks mom. The photographers were getting a good workout trying to keep up with the kids to stay and smile. They took over 1500 pictures, can you believe that. These were some of my faves. Thanks again mom!

Sophie's first dance class

Sophie's first dance class! She was so cute. I thought that this would be something so fun for her, especially in the winter when she will be cooped up in the house. Doesn't she look adorable.

Thanksgiving Point

My sister and I went to Thanksgiving Point Gardens in August, they had $2.00 Tuesdays. It was awesome. I had never been. It was so beautiful. Sophie loved it. The waterfall was amazing. Sophie has a big chunk of apple in her mouth in this picture. Thanks for hangin' with us, Manny.

So ready!

So I have been feeling super anxious with this upcoming birth of our second baby. I am scared, yeah, really scared. Is that normal? My husband is away for work for the next two weeks only coming home on the weekends and he just informed he could be away all month. That scares me even more. I think the reason why I am feeling this way is because I will be home alone and what if my water breaks in the middle of the night and I cannot get a hold of anyone to help me. I know I worry to much. Even with all of these worries, I am really excited for this pregnancy to be over, but even better is meeting this sweet little baby! I cannot wait for that part. The pushing and pain, not so much. If anyone would like to offer me some soothing advice I would love it. I really hope I do not have to push for 5 hours like I did with Sophie.

Swimming at Scera

Sophie is a water baby. She now swims by herself with the help of floaties. Sophie and her cousin Shelby are great little friends.

Pregnant Belly

Well, here I am! This is my belly at 30 weeks. Sophie was 8 lbs 11 oz., I am a little worried that this baby will be bigger. Oh please help me.

Sophie's 2nd Birthday!

My parents are awesome! They love to plan family get togethers and we have such a great time. My parents rented a condo for the whole family for the 4th of July weekend in Park City. It was kind of a bummer for my dad because he was sick the whole time. Poor Father. We swam, shopped, alpine slides, and just relaxed. Thanks mom and dad for a great time. We had a little party for Sophie there and she was in heaven with her cute girly pink and purple presents. She must of sang "Happy Birthday" to herself a hundred times.

Tylers 28th Birthday

We just had a quiet little party at home. It was nice. We ran around all June long and it was fun just to have a nice dinner and cake at home. Isn't my husband so handsome. Thanks for all you do, Ty! You are the greatest.

Summerfest! Yeah I know it was 2 months ago.

So we have had quite the busy fun summer. Here are some fun pictures of us at the parade and carnival with Sophie. My Aunt Renee was in town. She is so much fun! We miss you, Aunt Renee!

Puerto Penasco 2009

We had the best time in Mexico. Whenever we get the family together we laugh so hard that you cry, I love that. My Aunt Renee, Jennah, and Zack were able to come with us from Clarksville, TN. So fun. We had too many virgin pinacoladas, so delicious. They just taste better when you are near the ocean. I am so sad that our beach vacation is over. The weather was perfect. We went shopping, wave running, swimming, snorkeling, banana boating, four wheeling. I cannot wait until the weather gets better here in Orem. I am so sick of the rain, anybody else? I hope that everyone is having a fabulous summer so far!

Zoo trip in March!

It has taken me forever to get this pics on my computer. We went to the zoo in March when it was 60 degrees or so, it was so nice. This winter has been so long and it was nice to just get out and walk around. Sophie loved the animals, it was so cute to see her knocking on the windows to say hi to the monkeys. We went with my parents, and my sister, Laura's family.

Easter Sunday!

We had a great funfilled day. We love our ward and went and enjoyed sacrament meeting, then we had to rush off to SLC to Grandma Faye's, she made a delicious lunch and put together a fun Easter egg hunt for the grandchildren. Then it was off to my parents for dinner, my mom made a yummy ham dinner. Sophie was tuckered out by the end, she only got a 20 minute nap for the ride home from SLC. It was so fun to spend time with family. Thanks everyone.
My nephew, Evan, niece, Shelby, and our little Sophie. They had a blast hunting for eggs. So competetive, it was hilarious.

Sophie was so excited to get her Easter basket. She loved the playdoh and carebear from her Aunts.

My 29th Birthday Party!

I cannot believe this is the last year in my 20's! Oh my, I'm old, huh! I am looking forward to this year, it will be great! We will be having a new addition to our family in October. I am 14 weeks pregnant. Just wanted to share with ya'll. I have not been doing a very good job of keeping up with blogging because of such horrible all day sickness. But it is starting to die down. Isn't the cake beautiful. My sister Laura made it. It was lemon and so delicious.

Finally!!!

Yes, I know I have been a horrible blogger. Well, here are some pictures from the Christmas party at the Mortensen's house. We had nice dinner, thanks Byron, and visited and ended the evening with "Shrek the Halls", so cute.
